The Renewable Energy Taskforce is part of the Towards Environmental Leadership program and consists of members who support Council in its goal for the Surf Coast region to go from generating 9% of its energy from renewable sources currently to 25% by 2020. Maxine was selected as a community member in 2017 - 2021.
Torquay Commerce & Tourism is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to support and improve the local business economy. This organisation is part of the broader Australian Chamber of Commerce network which gives a stronger voice for the local business community in local matters. Maxine was a board member from 2017-2021
SCEG are a group of Surf Coast residents united by a concern for climate change and doing something about it at a local level. Formed in 2008 Surf Coast Energy Group is a not-for-profit community organisation. Maxine was a committee member from 2017 - 2019.
